In regards to the latest developments concerning Michael’s mother Katherine Jackson I will post here as much as I can find or that becomes available. This story is developing very rapidly so any updates you care to contribute, please do! This is an urgent matter that supercedes all other topics and issues right now, as this pertains directly to the welfare of the four people whom Michael loved the most and were most important to his life. My prayers right now are that this situation will come to a peaceful resolution, and soon. While I have tried very hard to refrain from judgements, I do have to say that I think what is being done right now to Michael’s three children is beyond cruel. Katherine is their legal guardian and they have the RIGHT to know what is going on with her.
As for Katherine, she has done this sort of thing before (when she just needed desperately to “get away” from things for awhile). Many of you may recall that in the early 80’s she abandoned her family for a brief while to escape home to Alabama and take some time to sort through issues in her life. Although Michael and his siblings were very worried, she stood her ground and kept her distance until she felt she had resolved her issues. But that was much different, as all of her kids were grown by then and she had no small children to see after. Now she has the legal guardianship of three minor children in her custody, and is responsible for their welfare. I just don’t buy she is doing this intentionally. Whoever is behind this HAS to know exactly what they’re doing, and what could result if the court decides to step in. Let’s hope and pray this situation does not end tragically for Katherine or Michael’s children.
Michael Jackson’s Mom Reported Missing In Ongoing Family DisputeBy Alan Duke, CNNupdated 11:38 AM EDT, Sun July 22, 2012Katherine Jackson is in the midst of a dispute over her finances and legal affairs.
Los Angeles (CNN) — A nephew of Katherine Jackson reported the Jackson family matriarch missing late Saturday night after her grandchildren were unable to get in touch with her for a week.
It is the latest chapter in a messy dispute between several of Jackson’s children and her advisers over her finances and legal affairs.
Jackson’s nephew, Trent, filed the report with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office. But one of her sons involved in the dispute said she was fine and resting in Arizona.
“I want to reassure everyone (inc all sudden medical experts) that Mother is fine but is resting up in AZ on the orders of a doctor, not us,” Jermaine Jackson tweeted.
“This is our mother and her health is paramount. We are not inventing or plotting anything. We are following doctor’s advice. Period,” he added.
The missing persons report follows a letter made public Wednesday in which two daughters — Rebbie and Janet — and three sons — Jermaine, Randy and Tito — charge that Jackson, 82, was being mistreated by the executors of Michael Jackson’s estate and mis-advised by her manager and lawyer.
According to Jackson’s lawyer, Sandra Ribera, Jackson left her Calabasas, California, home on July 15, to fly to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to attend a Jackson brothers concert two days later.
Traveling with her was her oldest daughter, Rebbie.
But when Paris, Michael Jackson’s 14-year-old daughter, called her aunts Rebbie and Janet over the past several days, she was told each time she could not speak to her, Ribera said.
“yes, my grandmother is missing . i haven’t spoken with her in a week i want her home now,” Paris tweeted Sunday morning.
In another tweet, she gave out her bodyguard’s phone number and asked people to call the authorities if they saw Jackson.
“The kids were trying to get a hold of their grandmother and they haven’t been able to reach her for almost a week,” Ribera said. “They are told she’s unavailable.”
“I’m concerned that she’s not safe,” Ribera added.
Jackson has not called Michael Jackson’s three children, who have lived with her since their father died three years ago, the lawyer said.
Jackson “has never gone 24 hours without talking to her kids,” she said.
“I’m concerned that she would never do this,” Ribera said. “We have no idea what’s going on with her. No one has talked to her.”
CNN reached out to Janet Jackson’s representatives several times but did not hear back.
Jackson’s manager Lowell Henry questioned Jermaine Jackson’s claim that a doctor ordered her to leave her home and not communicate with her grandchildren.
The sheriff’s rhomicide-missing persons unit has been asked to investigate, Ribera said.

Questions Raised Over Whereabouts of Michael Jackson’s Mother

There is concern Katherine Jackson, the 82-year-old matriarch of the famous Jackson music family may be missing, after Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris, tweeted that her grandmother has been missing for the past week, but other family members and her attorney say she is fine.
“Yes, my grandmother is missing. I haven’t spoken with her in a week i want her home now,” Paris Jackson tweeted.
Jermaine Jackson, one of Michael Jackson’s brothers, had tweeted Friday that his mother was in Arizona, following doctor’s orders to rest.
Officials with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told The Associated Press they believe that Katherine Jackson is staying with other relatives, but they are trying to speak with her after a missing person’s report was filed Saturday night.
Katherine Jackson reportedly left her home in Calabasas, Calif., July 15 to fly to Albuquerque to watch her four sons in concert. But since then, Paris says she hasn’t been able to get in touch with her grandmother. Paris and her siblings have been living with their grandmother since their father died three years ago.
Katherine Jackson’s attorney, Sandra Ribera, released a statement saying that Jackson left her home with plans of attending her sons’ concerts, but did not end up going to any of the performances.
“Prior to her departure, a doctor was brought to her home and represented that he had been sent from the office of her longtime physician. Based on this representation, Mrs. Jackson agreed to meet with the doctor who subsequently ordered her to fly rather than drive to her sons’ concerts. Mrs. Jackson followed what she believed to be her doctor’s instructions,” the statement said. “Moreover, Katherine Jackson’s longtime physician recently confirmed that his office did not send a doctor to Mrs. Jackson’s home last weekend before she left on her trip. It has further been discovered that the doctor that Katherine Jackson last saw has been publicly reprimanded by the California Medical Board for fraudulent activities and has ties to Dr. Conrad Murray.”
Katherine Jackson believed safe after being reported missing amid estate squabble
July 22, 2012
LOS ANGELES, CALIF. – Authorities said Sunday they believe Katherine Jackson, the mother of Michael Jackson and the guardian of his three minor children, is safe in Arizona with family members after she was reported missing.
The disclosure came after another concerned family member officially reported her missing Saturday night amid a dispute over the estate of her superstar son.
A person familiar with Katherine Jackson’s whereabouts said she is with her daughter Rebbie in Arizona and following a doctor’s orders to rest. The person was not authorized to speak publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.
The 82-year-old Jackson family matriarch was reported missing by a relative on Saturday night. Sheriff’s officials later said they believe she is in Arizona with a relative, but they were still trying to establish contact with her.
Katherine Jackson’s whereabouts caused concern for some family members in recent days, and her granddaughter Paris Jackson issued a frantic plea on Twitter early Sunday.
“I haven’t spoken with her in a week I want her home now,” she posted from her Twitter account. She also tweeted a number for people to contact in case they saw her grandmother.
Katherine Jackson also hadn’t been in contact with her attorneys, who worked Sunday to learn more information about her whereabouts and why she had suddenly become incommunicado, including with her grandchildren.
“First of all, let’s hope that this is all just a big misunderstanding and a totally benign situation,” her attorney Perry Sanders Jr. said Sunday. “Assuming that she did actually leave on doctor’s orders, no matter which doctor, it has certainly created an absolutely irregular situation whereby she has been out of contact with her grandchildren.”
The mystery of Katherine Jackson’s whereabouts was compounded by a recent visit from her son’s former physician, Dr. Allan Metzger, who examined her July 14 after being brought to her home in Calabasas by someone close to the family, said Katherine Jackson’s attorney Sandy Ribera.
The visit came one day before Katherine Jackson was scheduled to depart on an RV trip to the Southwest to watch her sons perform at concerts. The elder Jackson never made any of the shows and Metzger apparently told her not to take the trip, Ribera said.
Metzger is not Katherine Jackson’s primary physician and her regular doctor wasn’t aware of his house call until concerns about Katherine Jackson’s whereabouts were raised, Ribera said.
A phone message left for Metzger at his Beverly Hills practice was not immediately returned Sunday.
Metzger treated Michael Jackson earlier in his career and met with the singer once in the months before he died. Defence attorneys for the physician convicted of killing the pop superstar called him as a witness to try to show the singer was attempting to obtain a powerful anesthetic for home use.
Despite being a defence witness, Metzger aided prosecutors by telling jurors that he refused Jackson’s request and warned him of the risks.
Paris Jackson referenced Metzger’s visit in a tweet early Sunday, writing, “the same doctor that testified on behalf of dr murray saying my father was a drug addict (a lie) is caring for my grandmother… just saying.”
Conrad Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for the June 2009 propofol overdose death of Jackson at age 50.
The family drama unfolded days after it was revealed that some of Katherine Jackson’s children had written a letter to the executors of Michael Jackson’s estate, alleging his will, which left his fortune to his children, his mother and charity, was a fake.
The undated letter, signed by Janet, Randy, Tito, Rebbie and Jermaine Jackson, claimed Katherine Jackson was being manipulated by the executors, John Branca and John McClain, her health had been affected, and she suffered a mini-stroke.
The legitimacy of the letter was confirmed by Randy Jackson on Twitter, and Janet Jackson retweeted his post.
The estate has denied the accusations. Katherine Jackson obtained permission from a judge to probe the validity of her son’s will, but never pursued the matter in court.
On Friday, Jermaine Jackson tweeted that his mother was resting on the orders of a doctor in Arizona.
“This is our mother and her health is paramount. We are not inventing or plotting anything,” he posted. “We are following doctor’s advice. Period.””
Katherine Jackson has been caring for Paris, Prince Michael and Blanket Jackson since their father’s death. It was unclear who is taking care of the children in her absence.
Her sons Jermaine and Randy say she’s safe and under a doctor’s care in Arizona, but eight hours after the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department publicly asked Katherine Jackson to get in touch they still haven’t heard from her.
As RadarOnline.com revealed, a missing persons report was filed late Saturday by Katherine’s nephew Trent Jackson, after a week of her grandchildren, Prince, Paris and Blanket, not being able to reach her.
“We have nothing further to report on the case of Katherine Jackson at this time,” a spokesperson at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station told RadarOnline.com exclusively just after noon Pacific Time on Sunday. “She has not been in contact.”
This is not what authorities had hoped would happen. At 4 am Sunday, they publicly asked her to contact them.
“Katherine Jackson is reportedly with family members,” the department said at that time. “Late Saturday night, a different family member reported that he was unable to speak with her and is concerned for her well being. Deputies are continuing to make efforts to reach her and ask that she contact the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.”
The mystery of Katherine’s whereabouts comes amid the latest Jackson family controversy. Katherine’s children Randy, Jermaine, Tito, Rebie and Janet all signed a letter addressed to the executors of their brother’s estate demanding that they step down.
Their letter included the allegation that Katherine was so stressed by their handling of the estate she’d had a “mini-stroke,” something Paris and Katherine’s reps have all denied.
I was so relieved as of late last night to know Katherine was okay-or at least “okay” in the sense that no imminent harm had come to her. But in the wake of this news, a lot of bitter and nagging questions remain unanswered. This story is continuing to take some very conflicting and-if you’ll pardon my tabloid cliche’-“bizarre” twists. Here are just a few of the stories that have come down the pike today:
X17 EXCLUSIVE – Katherine Jackson Not Missing, Arizona Sheriff’s Dept. Confirm She’s “Having A Good Time With Family”Posted on Sun Jul 22, 2012 09:00 PM PDT
“Katherine Jackson is not missing and she’s having a good time with family,” confirms the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
X17online can exclusively report that a law enforcement official was sent from the department to interview Mrs. Jackson at the undisclosed location in Arizona where she is currently staying. The visit was a direct request from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department … who had been notified by Katherine’s nephew, Trent, that the Jackson matriarch had been missing.
The law enforcement official who interviewed Katherine Jackson for 30 – 45 minutes also spoke with X17 exclusively and gave us a first hand account of the visit:
“When I got there, Katherine Jackson and her family were at the dinner table and had just finished a game of Uno. In fact, their dinner plates were still in front of them. She seemed like she was having a good time. She was happy, safe and healthy. Basically Mrs. Jackson was vacationing with her family here in Arizona.”
We’re told Mrs. Jackson is currently staying with her daughter Rebbie, her granddaughter Stacy and also her great grandson, London. The law enforcement official tells us “this was strictly to check on Mrs. Jackson’s welfare.”
The Malibu Lost Hills Sheriff’s Office was notified about the outcome of the visit with Mrs. Jackson. We’re told the office “seemed ok with it and were appreciative” that the Pima County Sheriff’s official paid Mrs. Jackson a visit.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has filed their report confirming Mrs. Jackson’s safety.
From the same site, earlier today, came this report and photo, which is now making the rounds through cyberspace. The pic shows a healthy and smiling Katherine sitting at a dinner table enjoying a game of Uno with daughter Rebbie and family (Hmmm…wonder if the very prominent placing of the Coke cans was supposed to be a deliberate jab at the estate and their recent deal with Pepsi? Lol):

Here’s proof that Katherine Jackson is happy and healthy with her family in Arizona … playing the card game, Uno.
X17online has exclusively obtained the first photo of the Jackson matriarch relaxing at an Arizona resort while visiting with her daughter Rebbie, her granddaughter Stacy and also her great grandson, London.
As X17 first reported, Katherine was interviewed by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. The sheriff who conducted the interview gave us the following first hand account:
“When I got there, Katherine Jackson and her family were at the dinner table and had just finished a game of Uno. In fact, their dinner plates were still in front of them. She seemed like she was having a good time. She was happy, safe and healthy. Basically Mrs. Jackson was vacationing with her family here in Arizona.”
X17 also reported exclusively that Michael’s mom did let the children know she was leaving town, contrary to various online reports who claim she disappeared.
Looks like Mrs. Jackson does, in fact, love Uno!
However, it looks like this drama is still a LONG way from any peaceful resolution!
X17 EXCLUSIVE – Katherine Jackson’s Nephew, Trent, Being Investigated For Filing Bogus Missing Persons Report, Named In Investigation For Elder Abuse
Posted on Mon Jul 23, 2012 09:40 AM PDT
There is a pending investigation with the LA County Sheriff’s Department for elder abuse naming Katherine Jackson as the victim. Those being investigated include her nephew Trent Jackson, estate executors [for Michael Jackson’s estate] John Branca and John McClain, and Jackson family advisors Lowell Henry and Perry Sanders, Jr.
Now that it’s confirmed Katherine Jackson is safe with her family in Arizona, the Jacksons are ready to take aim at the family member, they say, is “the very person and persons we are trying to protect our mother from.”
Trent Jackson, the son of Joe Jackson’s brother, currently lives with Katherine Jackson at their Calabasas home. For years, the family has suspected that Trent has been profiting from stories surrounding his cousins … Paris, Prince and Blanket, even selling exclusive photo opportunities and stories to a tabloid website.
The Jackson family released the following statement:
“This fallacious missing persons report was created by the very person and persons we are trying to protect our mother from. We feel that there is a conspiracy to deflect the attention away from a letter we wrote asking for the resignation of executors, John Branca and John McClain, as well as some of her “advisors” and “caregivers.”
We believe there is strong evidence that supports the falsification of documents in order to takeover and profit from the estate of our beloved brother, Michael Jackson. We want answers.
The only feud that exists is between the Executors of the Estate and this family. This is being handled by the proper authorities and due process will take place.”
A source tells X17online one website claims they have a source within the Jackson family giving them exclusive stories and the family now believes, “without doubt,” that the source is Trent.
As for the pending elder abuse investigation, certain family members have already been interviewed by authorities, and we’re told, they’re “closing in” on Katherine’s nephew.
When asked for a statement on the investigation, LA Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Steve Whitmore declined to comment.
And now, is the FBI going to get involved?
The Jackson Strife: Family bickers over whereabouts of Michael’s mom
By Alan Duke, CNNupdated 3:45 PM EDT, Mon July 23, 2012
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were not allowed to see Michael Jackson’s mother in Arizona as part of a missing person investigation Monday.
“Randy’s security refused to allow them in,” attorney Sandra Ribera told CNN Monday. She said she was referring to Randy Jackson, Katherine Jackson’s youngest son.
Because the 82-year-old matriarch of the Jackson music dynasty was taken across state lines, Ribera said, she hopes the FBI will investigate the circumstances of what she called her disappearance.
It is the latest chapter in a messy dispute between several of Jackson’s children and her advisers over her finances and legal affairs.
The lack of contact with her since July 15 led her nephew Trent Jackson to file the missing person report with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department late Saturday, Ribera said.
An Arizona law enforcement officer reported that he met with Katherine Jackson on Sunday in the presence of Rebbie Jackson, her oldest daughter, and she said was “fine” and did not want to return to California, a source close to the investigation said.
Jermaine Jackson, in a statement posted on Twitter Sunday night, said his mother “is safe and well in Arizona with her daughter and our sister, Rebbie, resting up on doctor’s advice.”
But Michael Jackson’s three children, who have lived with their grandmother since their father’s death three years ago, still have not heard from their grandmother a week after she the Calabasas, California, home, Ribera said.
Jermaine Jackson’s statement insisted the children were not “being ‘blocked’ from speaking with Mother.”
“She is merely an 82-year-old woman following doctor’s orders to rest up and de-stress, away from phones and computers,” he tweeted.
His statement did not explain why Paris Jackson, the 14-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson, was rebuffed in several attempts to reach her grandmother on the phone. That led to Paris posting messages on Twitter early Sunday pleading for help in finding her.
“Yes, my grandmother is missing,” Paris tweeted. “I haven’t spoken with her in a week i want her home now.”
She asked anyone who sees her grandmother to call police, even publishing her bodyguard’s phone number.
Paris and her brothers, Prince and Blanket, have been in Katherine Jackson’s custody since their pop icon father died three years ago.
Jackson “has never gone 24 hours without talking to her kids,” Ribera said. “I’m concerned that she would never do this. We have no idea what’s going on with her. No one has talked to her.”
Jermaine Jackson’s statement said he and his siblings took their mother to Arizona “in line with doctor’s advice following a check-up.”
Dr. Allan Metzger was brought into Jackson’s home “under false pretenses” on July 14 by saying he was sent by her primary care physician, Ribera said. “We came to find out that her doctor has no association with Dr. Metzger.”
Metzger was a defense witness in the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray last year, testifying that he treated Michael Jackson off and on for two decades for “his profound sleep disorder.” Murray was subsequently convicted of involuntary manslaughter in Jackson’s death.
“The same doctor that testified on behalf of dr murray saying my father was a drug addict (a lie) is caring for my grandmother … just saying” Paris Jackson tweeted.
The doctor advised Katherine Jackson that it was better for her to take a plane on a trip planned for the next day, rather than ride in a RV driven by Trent Jackson, Ribera said.
Jackson left with her oldest daughter, Rebbie, the next day to fly to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to attend a Jackson brothers concert two days later, she said. But she never arrived at the concert, Ribera said.
A letter was made public Wednesday in which two daughters — Rebbie and Janet — and three sons — Jermaine, Randy and Tito — charge that Jackson was being mistreated by the executors of Michael Jackson’s estate and badly advised by her manager and lawyer.
And Roger Friedman, apparently having one of his more lucid days in regards to his MJ/Jackson family reporting, writes:
Paris Jackson Only Went to Uncles’ Show Last Night Hoping to See Grandmother–Still Missing
07/23/12 3:08pmRoger Friedman
Paris Jackson went to the Greek Theater last night in L.A. not to support her uncles–but to see her grandmother. She and her adult cousins–who are watching Paris, Prince, and Michael–were told grandmother Katherine Jackson would be at the show. She was not. As far as anyone knows, KAtherine Jackson is still in Phoenix with her daughter Rebbie and cousins. She has not had any communication with her custodial grandchildren. My sources say her cell phone and laptop have been removed.
“The children are very worried,” says a source– and rightly so. Mrs. Jackson went to Phoenix with the intention of seeing her four sons appear in three shows–in Phoenix and Las Vegas. She never appeared at any of them and has not been heard from since. And now the brothers have played in Los Angeles, and still Mrs. Jackson is missing. She is not “fine” by any means if she’s being prevented from contacting her grandchildren and her attorneys. As of this afternoon, no one has heard from her. This is a serious situation.
For one thing, she is the legal guardian of three minor children. Second, she is the heir to a large estate–her son Michael’s. The feeling is that she won’t re-surface until she agrees to the demands that five of her children laid out in a letter to Michael Jackson’s executors last week. This is unbelievable. Certainly Rebbie Jackson Brown can be made to produce her mother in a court if pressed by the guardian ad litem for the children. More to come…
PS Paris Jackson has been pulled off of Twitter. There have been no new messages since yesterday.
And TMZ is wrong–Katherine was not taken to Phoenix to a spa…
Several of you have also asked what I make of Jermaine’s tweets. Well, let’s have a look at those and I’ll tell you:
Let me put to bed today’s nonsense: as I made clear some days ago, Mother is safe and well in Arizona with her daughter and our sister, Rebbie, resting up on doctor’s advice, so it is beyond me how she can be reported “missing”
This incredulous claim was made for reasons best known to the adult/s who filed it but it seems no accident that it comes after we, the sons and daughters, put in place care-taking for our own mother, taking her to Arizona in line with doctor’s advice following a check-up.
Furthermore, it dismays me that such an alarmist “missing person” report has caused unnecessary anxiety among Michael’s children who will understandably react to what they misunderstand, hear or are told.
No-one is being “blocked” from speaking with Mother. She is merely an
82-year-old woman following doctor’s orders to rest-up and de-stress, away from
phones and computers. Everyone has been well aware of this within the family,
but I would like to reiterate my reassurance to the outside world that Mother is
fine. In the meantime, thank you for all your thoughts and concerns.
After such unnecessary distractions, now going to focus on our show at the Greek Theater in LA. Unity…unbroken
My personal take: What I’m reading between the lines with Jermaine is a lot of exasperation with the situation. However, his tweets don’t seem to take into account the very real and genuine fears of either Michael’s kids or the fans, which were fueled by this lack of communication. Yes, maybe some things are none of the world’s business but when you have minor children reporting that they can’t get in touch with their legal guardian-and a missing persons report (regardless of who started it, or why) I think it might behoove Jermaine to show a little more compassion and a little less arrogance (and again, let me stress, this is coming from someone-myself-who has always tried to take the high road with this family. But even I have to say, this latest episode has been too much).
A little communication could have gone a LONG way in preventing all of this from blowing up. It doesn’t take five minutes to pick up a phone. Or to let a child speak to her grandmother.
UPDATE (7/23/12) I don’t know how much credence to give this latest story, but this is getting crazier and crazier!
Ok, here is a better source that someone linked to on Facebook. Looks like it’s a legit story (sigh!):
UPDATE: (7/24/12) New video footage broadcast on GMA this morning shows what they are “claiming” is an altercation between Janet and Paris in the driveway of Katherine’s Calabasis house (I stress “claiming” because it’s hard to say just from looking at the footage, and we all know how the media loves to sensationalize things):
Here is a more full length version of the video which shows how the whole thing unfolded. It shows everyone actually being friendly and hugging until the moment when it appears Janet tries to take Paris’s cell phone. I still haven’t seen any evidence of the slapping incident which some outlets have been reporting (there’s a huge difference between trying to ‘slap” a phone out of Paris’s hand, and slapping her in the face, which is what the reports have been implying!):
Michael Jackson’s Kids ‘Ambushed’ As Family Drama Escalates
Wonderwall, Tuesday, July 24, 2012, 11:33am (PDT)
By Kat Giantis
According to a statement from Katherine’s lawyers, “Certain Jackson family members ambushed [her] home after their vehicle tore through security gates on the tails of the SUV containing Michael Jackson’s children. After exiting their vehicles, Jackson family members ran up to Michael’s children as they yelled and began to aggressively grab at the cell phones in their hands.”
Security apparently hustled the kids off to a “safe location” and the cops were called. In a statement, police said “a physical altercation had occurred, a battery. It involved members of the Jackson family.”
“It was just total chaos when Jermaine, Randy and Janet descended on the house,” a source tells Radar Online. “Paris was absolutely hysterical and kept telling her uncles to just bring her grandmother home. The plan to take the kids out of the house was going to be a publicity stunt. The kids were going to be paraded into the house in Arizona where Katherine is staying and those photos would be published on a website favored by Randy Jackson.”
Surveillance video seems to show the children greeting their relatives before things take a turn. Prince makes a beeline into the house with Randy following, while Janet appears to grab for Paris’ cell phone before the teen storms away. Both Janet and Randy look to be recording the confrontation on their own phones.
TMZ, which has a photoostensibly showing Janet and Jermaine outside the house on Monday afternoon, believes this has all been part of a long-standing plan to “convince Katherine that Michael’s will was a fraud and the executors had to go.”
TMZ reports the children’s cousin, TJ Jackson (he’s Tito’s son), will make a bid for temporary guardianship, and the trio supports the move.
“I know it’s completely unfair for them to do this to you and your brothers,” TJ, 34, tweeted to Paris on Monday. “We will keep trying. I love you.”
Last week, Janet, Jermaine, Randy, Rebbie and Tito signed a letter demanding the resignations of the estate’s executors and branding Michael’s will “fake, flawed and fraudulent.”
“We feel that there is a conspiracy to deflect the attention away from a letter,” the siblings said Monday in a statement to ABC News, calling the missing persons report on their mother “fallacious.” “We feel there is strong evidence that supports the falsification of documents in order to take over and profit from the estate of our beloved brother, Michael Jackson. This is being handled by the proper authorities and due process will take place.”
Paris, meanwhile, refuses to play along. She tweeted her agreement when one of her followers opined, “Now people can see why your dad was away from his siblings.” Her response: “Exactly.”
More media coverage, courtesy of sanemjfan and Lunajo67:
Michael’s children are not the only ones being affected by this! Heartbreaking clip as Marlon breaks down, unaware of his mother’s whereabouts and unable to understand why he can’t talk to her!
More Updates! (7/25/12): I’m sure you’ve all heard the sad news by now that Katherine has lost guardianship of the children. Well, at least for now. Their guardianship has been transferred to TJ Jackson. Diana Ross and Debbie Rowe have been notified, according to the sources I have seen. Diana Ross may be called upon before it’s over. There is still a chance as of now that Katherine can regain custody but I would imagine a LOT of things will have to change before that happens.
I call this a sad situation because it really feels like a betrayal of Michael. He wanted his children to be with his mother, and unless she is just absolutely incapacitated, I really feel that is where they need to be. However, right now what has to be considered is what’s best for them, their well being, and their safety. Personally, I am not so much angry as I am simply sad, shocked, and bewildered by this surreal turn of events.
So here is Randy’s interview with Rev. Al Sharpton. What do you think? Are you buying his version of events?
Judge suspends Katherine Jackson as guardian of Michael Jackson’s childrenFrom Alan Duke, CNNupdated 3:13 PM EDT, Wed July 25, 2012
Los Angeles (CNN) — A judge appointed TJ Jackson, the 34-year-old son of Tito Jackson, as temporary guardian of Michael Jackson’s three children in the absence of their grandmother Katherine Jackson.
“We have reason to believe that Mrs. Jackson has been held against her will,” Katherine Jackson attorney Sandra Ribera told Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff at a hearing Monday.
Beckloff suspended Katherine Jackson as custodian for Prince, Paris and Blanket, because she may be “prevented from acting as a guardian because of the acts of third parties.”
He also ordered “that the children not be removed from California without a court order, by any person.”
Jackson family feud continues
Katherine’s absence stirs Jackson feud
The judge also ordered that Diana Ross, whom Michael Jackson named as backup guardian in his will, and Debbie Rowe, the biological mother of the two oldest children, be given notice of the order.
The order will be reconsidered at a hearing next month, and the judge left open the possibility that custody could be returned sooner if Katherine Jackson returns home.
Katherine Jackson finally called her home Tuesday night after being out of communication for nine days, her lawyer said.
TJ Jackson, whom Katherine Jackson left in charge of the children when she left home on July 15, said he was disturbed by how she sounded.
“I’ve never heard my grandmother talk like that,” he said about that phone call. “She wasn’t sharp. Her words were slurred. Her choice of vocabulary, I never heard her use those phrases.”
His lawyer said that “maybe she was trying to speak to him in code.”
Ribera said one of the children told her it sounded like she was not alone during that call.
Katherine Jackson attorney Perry Sanders said the call was made after he met with Jermaine and Janet Jackson at a spa near Tuscon, Arizona, on Tuesday night to resolve the controversy over Katherine Jackson’s whereabouts.
They did not, however, allow him to meet or talk with her, he said.
Katherine Jackson, 82, left the home she shares with Michael Jackson’s children on July 15. She had not contacted them before Tuesday, though a Los Angeles County sheriff’s investigation concluded she was safe in Arizona.
Jackson family feud caught on tape
Katherine Jackson has custody of Michael Jackson’s children and a 20% share in her son’s huge estate. Her husband, Joe Jackson, and her eight surviving children were completely left out of Michael Jackson’s will when the pop star died in 2009.
Authorities got involved when her nephew Trent filed a missing persons report with the Sheriff’s Office over the weekend. Security camera video obtained by CNN captured a tense scene at the Calabasas, California, home she shares with her grandchildren, Prince, Paris and Prince Michael II.
Siblings Janet, Jermaine and Randy Jackson attempted to persuade the older children, Prince and Paris, to leave Katherine Jackson’s home with them Monday. Paris and Prince resisted, according to three sources with knowledge of the incident, who asked not to be identified because of the sensitivity of the matter.
The video shows Janet Jackson apparently trying to take a cell phone away from Paris and scolding her niece for using her phone to write about family issues on Twitter, according to the three sources.
Paris, Michael Jackson’s 14-year-old daughter, posted a Twitter message at about the same time: “gotta love fam.” Meanwhile, 15-year-old Prince is seen walking away from his Uncle Randy into the home’s security office. Paris soon followed, and Randy and Janet Jackson appeared to be recording the incident with their cell phones.
Minutes later, sheriff’s deputies broke up a scuffle involving Randy and Jermaine Jackson and Trent Jackson, who works for their mother, according to several people who witnessed it. No one was arrested, although a battery report was taken and an investigation is ongoing, Los Angeles County sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said.
Adding a few more things before I turn in tonight. This interview with Tom Meserau aired earlier this evening on Showbiz Newsmaker:
Transcript of Katherine Jackson’s Statement to ABC News:
Hello, I’m Katherine Jackson, and there are rumors going around about me that I have been kidnapped and held against my will.
I am here today to let everybody know that I am fine and I am here with my children, and my children would never do a thing to me like that, holding me against my will. It’s very stupid for people to think that.
But anyway, I am devastated that while I’ve been away, that my children, my grandchildren, have been taken away from me, and I’m coming home to see about that, also.
So I spoke to my grandson, TJ, last night, that I left there to be in charge of my children — and I never leave home without leaving them with instructions of who to stay there with them, the nanny and all of them — and someone had let go the cook, the nanny, and also the housekeepers. I don’t know who did that but they don’t have that power and they shouldn’t have done it.
And now, the people are saying they are there with nothing to eat. I am sure they have something to eat but it’s probably not healthy because the cook is not there.
But since I have also been away, my guardianship, which I just said, my children, have been taken away from me, my guardianship has been taken away from me. And, but, I spoke to my grandson TJ and also I spoke to Prince and Paris last night and told him I would be home today and they’re waiting for me to come.
And I told him it wasn’t necessary for him to go down and sign for guardianship. … I don’t know who instructed him to do that — but that’s what, but he wanted me to come home before that happened, but the ruling in court today was about the guardianship and I think it was based on a bunch of lies, but I have a good idea who’s doing that and who’s behind that.
But I am grateful for my children that they saw that I needed rest and they wanted to take me away for a while, just a short vacation and rest up. But one thing I have to say … that I’m here at Miraval. They have taken good care of me and have made sure that I got the rest that I needed.
One reason I haven’t called is I just gave up my phone and I didn’t want to have any phone calls while I was here.
My assistant, Janice Smith, have been calling back home to see how things were going and she had been keeping in contact with my nephew, I mean my grandson, and he says everything is going fine. But I was still thinking about the children and I still worry about them, but they are fine.
Before I left, as I said, I put everything in order with the appropriate people to take care of my children for me and it’s really bad to hear that what’s going on at home, and the children have been taken away — but I know that … I’ll get there in time to get them back. And after I finish this, I will be on my way home.
I have to thank Miraval again for taking very good care of me and making sure I got good rest.
We don’t get much — we saw an electric show because it was lightening and we saw a rainbow.
I had a very good time here — and if anyone wants to rest I think they should come here.
Because there’s a lot of lies that have been put out there and I am going home to straighten them out and this kind of stuff doesn’t make sense. So I want to say goodbye and I am on my way home.
I don’t know what anyone else makes of this, but to me, this statement sounds very unlike Katherine. It seems rambling and even a bit incoherent at times. If her phone calls to TJ sounded anything remotely like this statement, I can certainly understand his concern! This just seems very surreal.
UPDATE (7/26/12): Now that I have had a chance to actually see the video, I have a somewhat different take on the statement. Katherine DOES seem under a lot of duress. However, we don’t know what the exact nature of that duress is. Obviously, she has just learned that she has been stripped of her guardianship, and is upset, as well as emotionally upset with the entire situation. (Her statement that the kids would not be able to eat healthy without the cook being there sounds very much like typical, grandmotherly concern, but between the lines, what I sense is a lot of agitation at her own helplessness over this situation). I think she is under a lot of duress here. I am not implying that she is being forced to read this statement; only that her body language and the duress in her voice seems to me to be that of someone who is trying to appear calm on the surface while not letting on just how stressed and emotional she actually is (she’s not doing a very good job of it if that is the case). This seems like a very sad situation in which we are seeing this elderly woman genuinely confused by events unfolding. One thing worth keeping in mind is that, as a mother, I am sure Mrs. Jackson loves ALL of her children (Michael wasn’t an only child by any means, lol). It has to be unendurably tough for a mother to be put into a position where she must take sides. It is also genuinely sad that, if indeed the purpose of this “vacation” really WAS to enable her to relax and de-stress, that this ends up being the pay-off for it (MORE stress, right?). As my own grandmother used to say, “No rest for the weary.”
MORE UPDATES: It seems almost sad now to think that only about a week ago, the biggest ongoing oncern with the kids was who they were choosing to associate with on Twitter. I would give anything now to be able to turn the clock back and have that be my biggest worry for Michael’s children. What a difference a week makes, huh! If anyone ever doubted Paris’s loyalty to her father, I think recent events have certainly (or should have certainly) put those to rest. As we are seeing, what with the recent flurry of her posting his lyrics and references to him, is that he is still her emotional center, her sustenance and her strength when times are bad.
Source: Family meltdown has Michael Jackson’s kids grieving their father all over againBy Hollie McKay

- Blanket, Prince and Paris Jackson. (Reuters)
LOS ANGELES – It has been a tumultuous two weeks for Prince, Paris and Blanket Jackson, the three children of the late Michael Jackson. Their grandmother Katherine Jackson was reported missing, then located in Arizona with family members, but was still not in contact with them. On Monday, police were called to the kids’ Calabasas home following reports of a physical altercationbetween various family members. To top off the drama, on Wednesday a Los Angeles judge suspended Katherine’s guardianship and appointed Tito Jackson’s son TJ as the temporary caregiver for his young cousins.Katherine Jackson told ABC Newsthat she was “devastated” by the court’s decision, debunked the widespread rumors that she had been abducted and held against her will, and insisted that she was returning to Los Angeles to be reunited with her grandchildren immediately.
According to a source close to the family, serious damage has been done, and Michael Jackson’s kids are mourning their dad, who died suddenly in 2009, more than ever.
“These people (family members) are all the people that their father tried so hard to keep them away from, and now the kids are caught in the middle of it. It is making them grieve Michael all over again,” the insider told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column. “Blanket in particular is very sensitive and very withdrawn, so this throws him into even more of a shell. Prince usually follows the lead of his sister Paris, who has a strong personality, and both are missing their dad terribly.”
Paris has taken to tweeting lyrics from her father’s songs to express her emotion, including a key phrase from “Will You Be There:” “Everyones taking control of me, it seems that the worlds got a role for me .. im so confused will u show to me you’ll be there for me.” She also tweeted an instagram photo of herself proudly donning an MJ shirt.
Our source said the children will most likely move into TJ’s home nearby, to avoid a repeat of Monday’s debacle outside the Calabasas digs.
“The siblings keep referring to that house as their house but it is not. It’s the home for Paris, Prince and Blanket. At least if they are in TJ’s house, this can’t happen,” said the insider.
We’re also told that there is a high probability TJ will become more than just a temporary guardian.
“Jackie (son) and Trent (nephew) have done a really sound job in shielding [Katherine] from all this madness and the siblings’ desire to challenge the will and take control of the estate,” continued the insider. “This has to be overwhelming and heartbreaking for her, she doesn’t want to be in a big fight, but doesn’t know which way to turn… I will be surprised if she does get the children back.”
In a press conference following the judge’s guardianship ruling on Wednesday, an attorney for Katherine, Perry Sanders Jr. confirmed that paperwork would be filed to reinstate Katherine’s role immediately and that the court made it clear that her guardianship was suspended not on the grounds of wrongdoing, but because she was “out of pocket and paperwork could not be filed for her.” He also downplayed the escalating drama, and said it was a “misunderstanding” but “nothing like what media sources say.”
And while head-honcho Joe Jackson appears to have stayed away from the recent wind of family drama, it doesn’t sound like that will last long.
“Joe always said to the kids when they were young, and Michael actually used this in one of his songs, ‘throwing rocks and hiding your hand’ which is like causing problems and then pretending you had nothing to do with it,” added the source. “Joe in involved and knows how to pull strings from afar. We’ll see him emerge in all of this soon.”
A legal representative for Katherine Jackson did not respond to a request for further comment and a rep for Joe Jackson could not be reached.
Paris Jackson Finds Comfort In Father’s Lyrics During Family DisputePosted: July 25, 2012
Paris Jackson may not be able to turn to her late father, Michael Jackson, for guidance anymore, but she can still turn to his music for solace. The 14-year-old girl has been stuck in the middle of a hectic, and sometimes violent battle between her grandmother, Katherine Jackson, her aunt, Janet Jackson, and the rest of her father’s siblings.
Paris claims that her aunts and uncles are purposely keeping her from contacting her grandmother. Rumors even circulated last week that Katherine Jackson had been kidnapped by Janet Jackson and her siblings.
Paris wrote on Twitter: 8 days and counting . something is really off , this isn’t like her at all .. i wanna talk directly to my grandmother!!<|3
According to Randy Jackson, Katherine was taken to a hospital in California and spent last week resting with her family. Randy said that Katherine is now on her way back home and that she was in “much better health.”
The turmoil inside the Jackson family has to do with guardianship issues regarding Paris, Prince, and Blanket, as well as the division of Michael Jackson’s estate. Janet and her siblings claim that the will, which left Michael’s estate to his mother, was fraudulent.
According to ABC, a court battle over Michael’s estate and the legal custody of his children is imminent.
While the Jackson family fights over the legal issues surrounding Michael Jackson’s death, Paris Jackson is looking for a stable figure in her life.
The 14-year-old girl took to Twitter, writing:
ABC reports that Michael Jackson’s estate has earned $475 million in gross profits since his death.
Do you think the Jackson family will be able to settle their dispute peacefully?
I would first like to start off this tweet by thanking the fans that have always stood by me and my family, my dad really appreciated your support and I still treasure it to this day. As I am sure everyone is well aware of the events that have been going on. I have been holding off on backing up my sister and her tweets avidly because I was waiting for the time to reveal my side. As long as I can remember my dad had repeatedly warned me of certain people and their ways. Although I am happy my grandma was returned, after speaking with her I realized how misguided and how badly she was lied to. I’m really angry and hurt. The following image is of a group chat I had started to several family members. This group text message I had started was replied to but they didn’t know that I could see the responses. For this whole time, they denied us contact to our grandmother. “If you continue with your lies I will continue with the truth”-Michael Jackson Jr.
Katherine Jackson agrees to share custody with TJFriday, July 27, 2012LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Guardianship for the three children of the late Michael Jackson will be shared by Katherine Jackson and her grandson Tito Joe Jackson, known as TJ.
The three children – Paris, Prince and Blanket – are heirs to the Jackson estate, which is estimated at $1 billion.
Michael Jackson’s will named his mother as guardian, but for nearly 10 days, Katherine Jackson was absent from the estate, taking an unannounced vacation with some of her children.
The grandchildren tweeted that they were unable to reach her.
The judge overseeing the probate case took emergency action at a hearing this week and appointed 34-year-old TJ as guardian to replace Katherine.
On Friday, Katherine’s attorney said that papers will soon be filed that will allow shared guardianship. TJ will deal with the children’s school matters and household personnel, including security, while the 82-year-old matriarch will be free to focus on the children’s day-to-day activities. She would also remain in control of the children’s family allowance.
The joint filing is expected to be made in court next week.
Meantime, the judge has appointed a probate court investigator to find out more about the status of the three children. The investigator will have direct access to the grandkids and is authorized to interview them at their school on an unannounced basis.
Jackson Judge Orders Probe Into Children’s Welfare
by The Associated Press
LOS ANGELES July 27, 2012, 02:53 pm ET
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A judge on Friday ordered an investigation into the well-being of Michael Jackson’s children and a lawyer for the family matriarch said she will move to share guardianship of the children with the adult son of Tito Jackson.
Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff told a court investigator to interview the three children independently and provide a report for review only by the judge, not attorneys involved in the case.
The order does not spell out a reason for the investigation, but it is likely intended to give the judge another perspective on how Jackson’s children are coping after a week of family turmoil that included the absence of their grandmother and a dispute in the driveway of their home amid a feud over the estate of the pop superstar.
The court investigator was ordered to interview the children at school at a time to remain undisclosed. Beckloff received a similar report a few weeks after Jackson’s death in 2009 and its contents remain sealed.
Beckloff said during a hearing earlier this week that there were no indications that Katherine Jackson had done anything wrong.
Under the proposed guardianship change, the 82-year-old Jackson would share oversight of the children with Tito Jackson’s son in a deal that would relieve her of some of the day-to-day stresses of managing a famous family, her attorney Perry Sanders Jr. said.
The decision was made after a meeting between Katherine Jackson and Sanders on Thursday. He said Michael Jackson’s eldest son has told attorneys he approves of the arrangement.
A formal filing for co-guardianship is expected next week. If approved, it would make Tito Joe “TJ” Jackson a co-guardian of the children — Prince, Paris and Blanket — who range in ages from 10 to 15.
TJ Jackson’s attorneys suggest the co-guardianship arrangement in a filing Friday. It states that if either adult guardian dies or is unable to serve, the other will act alone in raising the children.
Under the plan, responsibility for managing staff and security at the home would shift to TJ Jackson. Katherine Jackson would keep control of a family allowance worth tens of thousands of dollars a month, Sanders said.
“Mrs. Jackson is extremely pleased with the prospect of enjoying the pleasure of raising Michael’s children without the day-to-day tedium of items such as managing the large staff that goes with such a high-profile family and focus her attention on being a grandmother and raising Michael’s children,” Sanders wrote in a statement.
“She is eager to simply enjoy her great relationship with these children, while deeding over some of the stressors that go hand in hand with being a guardian,” he wrote.
TJ Jackson, 34, is the children’s first cousin and performs with his brothers in the group 3T.
Beckloff on Wednesday suspended Katherine Jackson’s guardianship duties temporarily and appointed TJ Jackson as temporary guardian. The judge said he would likely re-instate Katherine Jackson as guardian upon her return.
Katherine Jackson had been at a Tucson, Ariz., spa since July 15 with her daughter Rebbie and other relatives and had not spoken to her grandchildren during that time. She returned to the Los Angeles area on Thursday.
“The minor children are very attached to (TJ Jackson) who has been very involved in their lives since the death of their father,” TJ Jackson’s attorneys wrote in the court filing. “Recent events have highlighted the need for continuity for the minor children.”
The filing was required by Beckloff, but Sanders said it would be superseded by a joint petition next week.
Randy Jackson ‘fears for mother’s life’
Randy Jackson fears that the executors of his late brother Michael’s estate are ‘trying to manipulate’ people.
Jackson family matriarch Katherine lost custody of her late son Michael’s three children ‘ Paris, Prince and Blanket ‘ on Wednesday after being away at a spa in Arizona for nearly two weeks. The court bestowed temporary charge on the siblings’ 34-year-old cousin TJ.
Katherine’s lawyer Perry Sanders announced that she is now seeking joint custody with TJ.
Randy is disturbed by this news.
‘When TJ asked my mother if he should ask for temporary guardianship, my Mother told TJ NO ‘ twice (sic),’ Randy released to X17 Online in a statement.
‘In order to obtain temporary guardianship, TJ lied to the court. Rebbie, Janet, Jermaine and I would never harm our mother and we are doing our best to protect her and the Estate knows that. I want to know why Perry Sanders would consider a negotiation based on lies.’
It has apparently been incredibly difficult for members of the family to communicate with Katherine and the kids since TJ was named the children’s guardian Wednesday.
‘The Estate denied Rebbie, Janet and Jermaine access to the house when they returned home to Calabasas with a letter written by Howard Weitzman, attorney for the Estate, who is not a resident of the home (sic),’ Randy said.
‘The Estate is trying to isolate my Mother from her family JUST LIKE THEY DID TO MICHAEL, in order to propagate their lies, financial agendas and to protect a fraudulent will. The same people that are trying to manipulate my mother are the same people that were involved with my brother when he died. It is my fear and belief, that they are trying to take my mother’s life.’
Randy Jackson’s Claim That Michael Jackson’s Will Is Fraudulent DebunkedRandy Jackson’s Claim That Michael Jackson’s Will Is Fraudulent DebunkedWENN
By Jen Heger – Radar Assistant Managing Editor
Randy Jackson told Reverend Al Sharpton on his MSNBC show Tuesday that his brother, Michael Jackson‘s 2002 will is fraudulent, but a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com exclusively that the will was validated more than two years ago by a court.
Michael’s siblings contend that his 2002 will is invalid because he was in New York City on the date it was signed, and the document states that it was signed in Los Angeles. However, our source offers an explanation.
“One of the witnesses mistakenly wrote Los Angeles as the place the will was being signed, because he lives in Los Angeles,” the source says. “The witnesses have confirmed to the Court beyond a shadow of a doubt that they were with Michael Jackson in New York City in 2002 when the will was signed. The executors provided sworn declarations clarifying the error in the 2002 will, and the judge accepted that as fact, and the will was validated.”
However, even if the 2002 will were to be ruled invalid, “Michael’s 1997 will would be admitted to the Court in which Michael left everything to the children and to Katherine. On the off chance that Michael’s siblings were to contest that will, and say that was fraudulent, Michael would have died intestate. If that were true, then his mother Katherine would be cut out of Michael’s will and everything would go to the children,” the insider says.
Further supporting evidence of the 2002 will’s validity, a letter was submitted to the court in the Michael Jackson probate proceedings which is dated August 26, 2003, sent to Michael Jackson, John Branca, and John McClain, from Barry Siegel, a CPA, who resigned as co-executor, and co-trustee of the Michael Jackson Insurance Trust.
The letter’s subject line is: Last Will Of Michael Joseph Jackson
And it reads:“Gentlemen, “The undersigned hereby acknowledges his previous resignation as co-trustee of the Michael Jackson Insurance Trust. The undersigned herby advises you that he declines to act as a co-trustee of the Michael Jackson Family Trust and as co-executor of the last will of Michael Joseph Jackson”Jermaine, Randy, and Janet Jackson have all lawyered up and in hopes of getting the executors tossed. However, the statute of limitations has expired to contest the will, and the judge has validated the 2002 will. Michael Jackson intentionally left his siblings and father, Joe Jacksonout of his will.”Very truly yours, Barry Siegel”
Since Jackson’s 2009 death — when he was nearly $500 million dollars in debt — the executors have earned a whopping $475 million, nearly getting the number out of the red. John Branca and John McClain negotiated a lucrative deal with Pepsi to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the late singer’s Bad album, as well as striking a pact with Cirque du Soleil for a Jackson-themed tour.
ROLAND S. MARTIN EXCLUSIVE: Janet Jackson, Others Family Members Barred From Mom’s California HomeJuly 29, 2012
By Roland S. Martin
RolandMartinReports.comThe executors of Michael Jackson’s estate have barred a number of the late singer’s siblings, including Janet Jackson, from the California home where their mother, Katherine, is raising the late singers three children. The details of who is and isn’t allowed onto the Calabas, California is detailed in an email obtained by CNN’s Roland S. Martin.
Howard Weitzman, who represents John McClain and John Branca, sent the email Wednesday to Charles Schultz, an attorney for TJ Jackson.
Weitzman writes that after the drama over the last two weeks, which including allegations that Katherine Jackson had gone missing for 10 days and was unable to reach Paris, Prince and Blanket Jackson, which led to her having to share guardianship of the children with another grandchild, TJ Jackson, it is necessary to bar certain family and friends from the property.
“Given the circumstances of the last two weeks, and in order to protect the children and Mrs. Jackson, the Executors believe that it would not be appropriate to allow the following individuals to enter the residence or its grounds and we instruct the security to preclude the following from entering the residence or the grounds: Randy Jackson and any of his children, Janet Jackson, Rebbie Jackson and any of her children, Jermaine Jackson, his wife and any of his children, Janice Smith, or anyone else who was involved in the recent events that led to Mrs. Jackson’s separation from and inability to communicate with Michael’s children, or any agents or representatives of any of these individuals,” Weitzman wrote.
“There will be no other security or drivers allowed on the property except those employed by the Estate of Michael Jackson. Joe Jackson is precluded from entering the property. Howard Mann who is in litigation against the Estate and is working with the Jackson siblings that wrote the “letter” should also not be allowed on the premises.”
The “letter” Weitzman is referring to is the one signed by Randy, Janet, Jermaine, Rebbie and Tito Jackson, alleging that the 2002 will authorizing Branca and McClain to be the executors of estate is fraudulent. Tito later apologized for signing the letter.
“Of course, Paris, Prince and Blanket, T.J. and his brothers, Tito, Marlon, Jackie and their spouses, current security (hired by the Estate), staff (per T.J.), Meg Lodise, Michael Kane, Sandra Ribera, Parry Sanders, Trent Jackson, you (Charles Shultz) and anyone else authorized by T.J. (other than the Excluded Individuals listed above), may enter and remain on the premises,” Weitzman wrote.
Weitzman’s email does not mention Michael’s sister, LaToya, and whether she can visit the property. She has publicly called on her family to stop the infighting.
According to a Jackson family source, the estate is allowed to make such demands because it pays the monthly lease payment on the Calabas home. Katherine Jackson controls the $70,000 monthly stipend the estate allocates to each Jackson child – a total of $210,000 – any way she sees fit, including school costs and other expenses.
Katherine Jackson is currently in the process of trying to purchase the home so the estate won’t be able to dictate such terms, the source said.
Weitzman writes that if law enforcement needs to be made of the letter, Schultz, T.J. Jackson or anyone else is authorized to show it to them.
“It is imperative to the Estate that from this point forward a safe and appropriate environment be provided for Michael Jackson’s children and his mother as well,” Weitzman wrote.
By Jen Heger – Radar Assistant Managing Editor
Katherine Jackson is furious with her son, Randy, for trying to overthrow the executors of Michael Jackson‘s estate, without her knowledge or consent while she was holed up at the Miraval resort in Tucson, Arizona, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
“Katherine was completely unaware that Randy had orchestrated his siblings signing a letter sent to the executors of Michael Jackson’s estate demanding their immediate resignation. Now that Katherine has been home for a few days, she recognizes that Randy was the one that planned this, and she is absolutely furious for him doing so. Katherine has never had a stroke or a mini-stroke as the ridiculous letter says. Katherine will never speak out publicly against her children, it’s just not who she is. Behind the scenes, however, Katherine is extremely upset and disappointed in Randy’s actions that have brought so much unwanted chaos into all of their lives,” a source close to the situation tells us.
Last week, Katherine lost guardianship of Michael’s three kids after they were unable to reach her for over nine days. Judge Mitchell Beckloff gave temporary custody of the kids to Katherine’s grandson, TJ Jackson, son of Tito. Katherine and Tito have agreed to share custody of the kids and will go to court in the very near future to formally ask the judge to sign off on it.
Meanwhile, Katherine has issued a stern warning to her children to “stop talking to the press about their family business. Katherine specifically told Randy that if he wants to pursue this ridiculous claim that Michael’s will is fake, to remain quiet about it. If Randy does find evidence, which Katherine knows is very unlikely to happen, to take it to court and not play it out the in press. That is what the courts are for Katherine reminded Randy. Everyone loses when Randy takes his claims public, and it just causes undue stress on Katherine and Michael’s children,” the insider told us.
UPDATE: (8/2/12): New tweet from Jermaine; says he has rescinded signing the letter:
Yesterday, I had a phone call with my son Jaafar that broke my heart. He asked: “Is it true that we cannot visit grandmother’s house as a family anymore?” Enough has become enough… After much soul-searching, it is clearly time for us to live by Michael’s words about love not war. In this spirit, I offer this statement by way of extending an olive-branch. Accordingly, I rescind my signature from the letter which was sent to the Estate, and which should never have gone public. I still hold deep reservations about many issues involving the Estate, and I will continue to bring scrutiny and a resolute voice wherever we have cause for concern. But the way to address such matters is through the proper channels and via a private dialogue, not public conflict. Whatever the tabloid and on-line misrepresentations have led people to believe, my primary concern has only ever been rooted in the welfare of our mother in the environment where she lives. No-one on the outside has a clue about the stresses and pressures she has been under long before recent events and I, like everyone in the family, adore the ground she walks on. We are also still raw from the loss of Michael three years ago. The ever-present grief has haunted me with questions about whether we stepped off him too much or whether we did enough to help when a corporate world surrounded him. So when it comes to the well-being of loved ones, and especially our mother, we are perhaps understandably and unapologetically over-protective. As attorney Perry Sanders has since confirmed, a health check detected high blood pressure with Mother. Rest was the sole reason she went to Arizona. Prince even carried her bags down the stairs and urged her to rest-up, because we all come from the same caring place. When she was away, and with the children in the responsible care of Tito’s son TJ, there was never a malicious attempt to “block” the kids from talking with her. We simply worried that a call home would first entail, or lead to, conversations with individuals we are in dispute with and that would, therefore, increase pressure on Mother — and pressure was what a doctor said she didn’t need. This was why we went to the house in Calabasas to talk directly with the kids and merely discuss arrangements for them to meet with their grandmother. We were denied that access by security — and it was clear that mutual suspicions had allowed events to spiral out of control. I regret that events were ever allowed to reach such a stage. I regret any distress caused to Prince, Paris and Blanket. That was never, ever the intention of myself, Janet, Rebbie or Randy. Moving forward, the most effective way to best serve Mother’s welfare, and that of Michael’s children, is to start a collective dialogue, in private. Mistakes have been made and irrational things have been said on both sides in a highly-charged emotional environment. It is time for us all to draw a line in the sand and move towards peace, co-operation, love and healing. I truly hope that we can find it in our hearts to do so. Because above and beyond anything else, what matters…is family.
Katherine Jackson shocked to learn reports of her kidnapping
Katherine Jackson learned that she had been reported missing after a broken television in the Arizona spa where she was staying suddenly began broadcasting a report about her alleged kidnapping, according to court documents filed Thursday.
The 82-year-old matriarch wrote that none of her companions — a group that according to other filings included Janet and Jermaine Jackson — informed her that her grandchildren were trying desperately to get in touch with her. Her cellphone was taken, her room phone didn’t work and “when one of the people with me asked if I could communicate with my iPad and I replied yes, my iPad was also taken away,” she wrote.
The television set in her room didn’t work “despite repeated requests to those with me to have it fixed,” she said.
“One morning I woke up to the sound of the television. While there was no picture, I heard a broadcast that stated I was missing,” she wrote.
Her account of the trip that set off a very public family feud came in filings seeking reinstatement as guardian to her late son Michael’s three children. Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff returned guardianship to her after a hearing Thursday and agreed to her request that her grandson Tito Joe “T.J.” Jackson share guardianship.
T.J. Jackson, 34, was named temporary guardian last week after Beckloff heard family concerns that Katherine Jackson was being held against her will out of state. The judge said Thursday that T.J. will stay on as a temporary guardian until an Aug. 22 hearing where he will be named co-guardian.
The filing was accompanied by affidavits from the pop singer’s two older children, Paris, 14, and Prince, 15. The children wrote that they consented to the shared custody arrangement for themselves and their younger brother, Blanket, 10.
Paris Jackson took to Twitter to demand her grandmother’s return. Randy Jackson, her uncle, has said Katherine Jackson was on doctor’s orders to rest at the spa. In a previous court filing, T.J. Jackson has said he believes his grandmother was induced to go on the Arizona trip by someone pretending to be a doctor.
In her account, Katherine Jackson said that on July 14, “a doctor was brought to my home stating that he had been in contact with my longtime personal physician and was coming to check on me because my personal physician was unavailable.” That person, she said, suggested she fly to Arizona. One of her attorneys, Perry R. Sanders Jr., wrote that he flew to Tucson in an attempt to speak with her July 25 and met with Janet and Jermaine Jackson but was not allowed to see his client.
In their court filings, however, her lawyers noted speculation of a plot to “gain control over Mrs. Jackson as a means to get at funds” belonging to the music idol’s children.
“As co-guardian, TJ will be able to ensure that no outside forces try to divert the family allowance or any other resources … to anyone or for any reason other than the benefit of the minor children,” attorneys Sanders and Sandra Ribera wrote.
Outside court, lawyers for T.J and Katherine Jackson said they didn’t want to speak about the trip anymore and hoped the incident was behind the family. The judge also removed an order that barred the children from traveling out of state. They are to mark their father’s birthday later this month with a celebration in Gary, Ind., the family hometown
Blair G. Brown statement on behalf of Janet Jackson, Randy Jackson, and Rebbie Jackson:
